Moneyline
A moneyline bet is a straight pick on who wins the game, nothing else. American odds show up as a plus or minus number: minus means the favorite (risk more to win less), plus means the underdog (risk less to win more if they pull it off).
In practice
Team A -180 vs. Team B +150. Bet $180 on Team A to win $100 (plus your stake back) if they win. Bet $100 on Team B to win $150 if they upset.
